Why don’t floral prints look good on me when my best friend looks fabulous in them?
It’s true, floral prints are everywhere this season. Small patterns, large patterns, black and white and delicate colours in skirts, dresses and tops. In fact it is difficult to find a print that’s anything but a bouquet.
I know from experience it’s very frustrating when you see your best friend looking so gorgeous in a wee floral number.
The answer is in your body shape: please note I said shape, not size.
You probably measure straight, like myself.
Whatever size you are, if there is not much difference between the measurements
|
of your bust, waist and hips, you measure straight. Floral prints are not for you!
You will look just as stunning and feel slimmer in angular prints.
To wear floral prints you need a curvy shape with a defined waist.
The round outline of the flowers then blends with the body curves.
As a simple general guide for any prints, rounded or angular, choose patterns equal to your stature.
In other words, you need to be quite tall to carry off a large pattern. Equally, if you’re petite, choose smaller prints so that your clothes flatter your tiny frame.
So to answer your question, if you measure straight and

choose angular prints, your friend will then wonder why she doesn’t look as good as you.
